Note:
We are pleased to provide this resource page for those in the United States and

Orthodox parishes to visit when away from home. The jurisdictions below are
canonical and share the communion cup. (An exception to communal sharing may
be the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia. Some ROCOR priests may not
commune those who do not belong to the jurisdiction.) When visiting a parish
where you are not known to the priest and you intend to commune, protocol
suggests that you let the priest know in advance, either by calling ahead or
by arriving at the parish church early enough to inform the priest of your
intention. If you are uncomfortable approaching the priest who may be
preparing for the Divine Liturgy, ask one of the parishioners to tell the
priest for you. |
